Q:

How does the cost of glass compare to other materials?

A:

Glass is frequently less expensive than more traditional materials.

Q:

What kinds of products and services do you offer?

A:

The majority of our work involves custom designed, one of a kind projects. We provide complete design services, production and installation as required. Although doors, windows and entries account for a large percentage of our business, products vary from small blown glass objects to large scale architectural projects. While we focus on glass we do incorporate other materials such as metal or wood into items such as furniture, lighting and sculpture. We also do restoration work.

Q:

Can I use glass in windows to provide privacy or protection from UV rays without losing light or the beauty of my window?

A:

Definitely. Privacy and protection from sunlight are two of the most common issues we deal with when designing window and door inserts. The techniques we employ can create the exact level of privacy and UV reduction needed, while producing dramatic results, without compromising area lighting.

Q:

If we want to use decorative glass in our windows or doors do we have to replace the existing glass?

A:

No, in most cases we add the decorative panel to your existing window or door. Any size or shape is possible.

Q:

Is glass really cost effective?

A:

Yes, we are generally able to accommodate any budget. Glass is one of the least expensive material options. Especially when glass is considered in the original conceptualization of a project, it is capable of producing the most unique results without altering the clients’ budget at all.

Q:

Do I have to provide you with the design?

A:

No, our complete design staff can create the concept as well as the final design. We will utilize your input or collaborate with your designers to interpret your ideas and tastes in a way that only glass can do.

Q:

How flexible is glass as a design medium?

A:

The variety of techniques available for design and production in glass create unlimited possibilities. Our ability to combine those techniques allows us to achieve any aesthetic goals effectively.

Q:

What techniques of glass work can you provide?

A:

We work in most of the techniques currently available in glass. We are constantly seeking out and developing new techniques. Included are many varieties of sandblasting, blown glass, film techniques, and stained glass, as well as fusing, kiln forming, laminating, etc. We have also developed or acquired a number of exclusive techniques such as Stained Glass Overlay.

Q:

How much does the cost vary between techniques?

A:

The cost varies widely due to the labor content required by each technique. Having the option to provide work in a variety of techniques allows Danziger to produce each client’s work in the most efficient possible manner.

Q:

In what areas are you able to ship and install work?

A:

We have shipped work all over North America and we guarantee our work will arrive intact. We will provide installation services for you or work with your own local installers.

Q:

How do I arrange to have Danziger consider a designer glass project for me?

A:

Simply call, fax, email or drop into our studio with the approximate sizes and general description of your project and what you hope to achieve. One of our design staff will show you the many options available to you and the costs associated with each.

Q:
